RO22 European sportswomen’s best performances

Before going to Romania the students had prepared a slideshow presenting several famous sports women representative of their country. For example French students had chosen to talk about Amélie Mauresmo and Christine Arron, Romanian students had selected  Simona Halep and Nadia Comaneci. 

Each slide contained information about the biography of these sports women, their championship titles and world records, their commitment to reducing inequalities between men and women (for example the pay gap with men) and to improving the exposure of women’s sports in medias.

Students presented their slideshows in English to the entire group, alone or by groups of two.

That activity ennabled the students to discover many European sports women they had never heard of  before. These athletes can become for them inspiring role models because of their commitment to gender equality.
