FR22 CRE Beaux Arts museum Lille

Located in the heart of Lille, on Place de la République, the Palais des Beaux-Arts de Lille (Lille Palace of Fine Arts) is a municipal museum dedicated to fine arts, modern art, and antiquities. It is one of the largest art museums in France.

Students and teachers were divided into two groups. the museum guides presented a history of the evolution of the paintings present in the museum. Direct observations were made regarding the evolution of women's status, the approach to the theme of women in painting.

The masterpieces of pictorial art were discussed and admired at length by all the participants (”Birth of Venus”,painting by Amaury-Duval, ”El Tiempo” by Francisco de Goya)
