Description: The students reflected upon the chosen ads and presented the final work which is published on the blog “Juliet”. It is expected that they break up of old ideas and make new connections by keeping on generating new ideas and inspire them to think outside-the-box. In groups of 4/5, pupils chose ads from the 50s and compared them to those the same brands have reprinted today. After that they identified the objects of desire shown on the ads and analysed both messages, pointing out the differences.

Results: The students worked out a collaborative power point where the differences between now and then regarding women’s role is identified. They also explained the reason why brands are updating old ads in order to show women in a more balanced and empowered role.
