First, pupils discover documents that present the history of the E.U. and Erasmus’ history too. They also discover stories about five women who participated in the history of the E.U.: Louise Weiss, Simone Veil, Éliane Vogel-Polsky, Sofia Corradi and Angela Merkel. Secondly, students read the folder and select useful information for the games and quiz. With their smartphones, students played games to locate European countries and capitals, answered questions about the history of the European Union and Erasmus. This activity is the first of a series of 3 and serves as a basis for preparing for Erasmusdays in high school. Students should keep this kit to use as it contains the essential elements of the history of the European Union with key dates, timelines, important treaties, dates of accession of member states and the discovery of the European institutions.

Students learn more about Erasmus and they know a little better the lineaments of other European countries.
